USB setup

    I bought a USB wireless survallence device. I downloaded the driver to my desktop, pluged in the usb device but when it asked me to locate where the setup was I could not find it on the browse list anywhere. I put it in downloads, documents, etc. etc. What can I do?

    The driver likely needs to be extracted or run to install the drivers. Double-click on the file you downloaded and see what it does.

    I did that already. Nothing. The seller told me that the problem was with vista not recognizing drivers others than the ones they want. They sent me a link to go to DOS and make a command prompt to disable vista driver recognition but that did not work either. After i extract the driver and run setup then put it on the desktop or anywhere when I plug in the device, windows tries to install it but cannot locate it. Thanks anyway. Robert

    So its not Vista compatible then? If so return it, downgrade the computer to XP, or buy an XP system.
