Formatted WD My Passport for TV but now decided I want to use it on my PC instead. Problem is it no longer shows as a drive. I can see it in My Devices and Printers page but nowhere else. Is it possible to reformat it and use again? I'm on Windows 10.

    Thanks

Hi danbadd and welcome to TSG.

Does it show up in Disk Management ? If it does how is it described ?

Hi Thanks for responding. It seems to appear in disk management as Disk 1.

It doesn't show what the file format is though.

    Any help appreciated thanks.

Right click and you will see options to choose from (formatting the entire disk or creating new / smaller volumes and then formatting them -> NTFS).
The disk is online, healthy and basic visible in the system.

I'm guessing the file system used for the TV was not recognised by windows. Glad you fixed it. :)

(if you're sure it's fixed please click on the Mark Solved link at the top of your page).
