I have had nothing but problems trying to switch over from my ethernet cable to a wireless network. I am running Windows 98 and I am currently connected to Broadband. I purchased a wireless router and two 802.11b usb stick wireless LAN cards. Everything went smoothly with the router and when I try to install one of my wireless antennas my computer locks up. I followed the set up instructions and have tried multiple things to get it to work - with NO LUCK YET!!! This is going to sound really stupid but here goes anyway!!! Is there a difference in compatibility requirements between Windows 98 and Windows 98SE? If my antennas say they are only compatable with 98SE will they be a problem for Windows 98? The company that I purchased them from told me that it shouldn't be a problem, could this be the problem? HELP PLEASE!!!

To answer your question in a word Yes. If your antennas say they are only compatible with 98SE then you have answered your own question. Sorry I can't help more

I'm afraid that there is significant differences between W98 and W98SE in the USB support area. If they specifically state W98SE, it's probably for a good reason...
