User profile in server

    When I would like to connect to the window 2000 network with my PC XP Pro, eroor message appears that says. Cannot find profile on the server. Any suggestions.

    How have you set the network wizard in your xp pc to see the w2k's?

    It is my friend's PC, I will have to ask him. I will get back to you on that.

    go into the user's settings in active directory and make sure in the profile section, the links refered there work, or get rid of them and then rty agian.

    You can eiether copy and paste into the RUN box to see if they work, or you can get rid of them.

    Looks like this profile has been in use for quiet some time, dating back to several OS starting from W95, I was wondering if the profile still looks for old SIDs or settings. What would be the best way to start off with a new profile, delete the one in the server and laptop??
    Hope you are still looking Mr-Webmaster.

    The other error message says that the profile can not be updated.

    HELP!!!!
