I have a domain where everyone is an administrator. There is a users folder on the server and each users data is in this folder.
John has a documents folder that he wants everyone to have access to. Everyone has full access and and each users has full access. Yet when john adds a picture to this folder only two users can get access to it. The other users can see it but when they try to access the picture you cannot see anything. Any ideas?

Are the users local administrators or domain administrators? What version of server?

    HI Rhynes,
Thanks for replying. The users were domain administrators. SBS 2003. Do you need to be both local and domain administrators to have full rights and access? The user creating the files is the local and domain administrator. He is adding photos in his user profile folder. Another user in the domain is trying to access these files. He cannot see the thumbnail of the photos and when he clicks to open them he gets a message saying you do not have the rights to view this.

Is the users folder a network share? If so what is the share security set and and what does the security tab state for access?

It is a network share. Share settings are domain admins, domain users, folder operators, full access. Security Tab has Administrators, Domain Admins, Each Username on the network, Domain Admins. All full access. Friday night I added each everyone and gave them full access and on the local computer I added each username in the network (3) and gave them full access. Following that the problems went away.
