users accounts in windows 98 won't work

    it just goes to one account i have but the others wont display there at bootup

    why?

    Have you gone into the control panel and checked on users? There should be a list...

    Are you saying it automatically boots to the desktop without you being prompted to enter the User name and password? If so, did you use TweakUI to set the system to automatically log on? You can disable that, or you can also just click Start | Log Off User to switch users.

    Or are you saying that the login box only has one user name shown? Does the Title say Enter Password, or Enter Network Password?
    If it has the word Network, then the system is set to use the Client for Microsoft Networks logon instead of the Windows logon or Microsoft Family Logon
    To change this, right click Network Neighborhood and click Properties
    Under Primary Network Logon: Choose either Windows logon or Microsoft Family Logon

    The attached files show the Network logon, and the Windows/Microsoft logon dialogs.
