I have a LS-120 drive on a Windows XP system. I have no problems with the superdisk, however, when I put a 1.44 disk into the drive I get a message that it needs to be formatted. The disk have been used in this drive before. When I try to format the disk I get either a message saying the disk cannot be formatted or Windows was unable to complete the format. If I try to do a "create a MS-DOS disk", I get an unexpected I/O error has occured.

I thought about that. However, I have tried over 30 seperate disk and get same message on all of them. I even tried to read a store bought program disk and same thing. I installed a regular 1.44 floppy disk drive Monday and the disk work on it.
