using a file tranfer program to install windows 95 onto laptop

hey..i have a older toshiba laptop with no cd-rom..it had windows 95 onit..its been reformatted and is ready for os..i have windows on cd..ive been trying to use a program called filelink that comes on a bootable disk of dr-dos..i have program installed om my desk top..i wanted to connect the 2 together so i can download windows 95 onto hard drive..and then install it from there..sounds like a good idea to me..but i cant get it to work..i enter my laptop as the master and the desktop as the slave..but it never connects..all the settings are right on both the systems..but it wont connect ..what am i doing wrong..?:confused: ive gone into pc chatrooms and that was a way that was recommened... thankyou..

File link or any file sharing will not work on a blank HD.. It needs an os to work
