I have an Asus eee laptop,on Linux which has no CD player. I also have a legal copy of Win XP which I want to install on the Asus, I do not have an external CD
My Dell laptop with CD has win XP.
How can set my laptop to act as a CD source for the Asus XP installation.
Thanks
Paul

Magic? I think either investing in a USB cd type drive or, IF possible, In the days of windows 95/98, you used to be able to copy the install folder to a formatted bootable drive, boot to it and run the setup from the HD. Can't say I've done it recently, but maybe someone on here has or knows if it is still a viable option. It would involve moving the laptop hd into the one with the cd drive.
