I want to know if it is possible to use both Outlook and Thunderbird on the same computer.

I have to use Outlook on my work computer for internal mail. I have also set up Thunderbird for personal mail. The personal email is all from gmail.

Outlook keeps giving me a hard time about selecting it as the mail client. Any ideas?

Also how can I sync my Thunderbird mail from work with with my home computer?

    Thanks,
    Barbara

I don't see any reasom why not.

As far as "synching" your mails, it depends what you want synched. The easiest may be just to use the account settings on your work machine to leave the mails on the server and the one at home to delete them from the server once they have been downloaded for the second time.

But if you want everything synched, you may need to transfer the mail stores from one machine to the other by mail or USB device or something. You would need to transfer the mail from the C:\Users\<username>\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles (in Vista) or C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles (in Vista or XP) folder on one machine to the other.
