does it hurt a PC if you use it all the time as a charger? i have a PC with XP on it. and its about 4 years old. i let my girlfriends daughter use it. and she ask if she can plug her ipod to it to charge. i told her i didn't think it would work. but i told her to try it. she did and it charged it. i just want to make sure it wont hurt the PC. if she does it all the time.

It may shorten the life of your power supply unit - perhaps by as much as a week. :D My experience of charging my wife's SatNav though, proved only that it took five or six times longer than it would if charging directly on mains power.

I'm curious--does it charge through the USB port?
