I am new to the Winhex editor software. I checked the manual but can not find a answer to my question. I would like to open a file header and trailer i.e. jpeg or ppt file. The files are not on my pc. I was checking a online extension database and wanted to try Winhex to see these headers and trailers on Winhex.

What happens when you have tried WinHex on these files?

Have you tried saving them to your drive and then had a look?

Hi Dave, thanks for the response. I was checking common file signatures on a online file signature table website, for example .ppt, .jpeg, .doc. I wanted to see these same file signatures
headers and trailers on the Win hex Editor. I do not know how to view these signatures on the editor, since they are not in my PC system. I have never used Win hex before.

Then it is best to download and look over the manual
    Code:
    https://www.hdlab.pl/xways/demo/winhex.pdf
Another site and also a download for a manual
