I have a sony vaio with xp home edition. I have a diagnostic program that I can plug into my car to see how it is running and pull codes off the ecu. When plugging the car into the vaio tonight I heard a quick 1/4 second whine like zip sound and then NOTHING! I brought the laptop in to look at it looks fine, smells fine. Plugged it in NOTHING! It's like there is no power getting to it at all. Does anyone know what happened? My guess would be some type of surge through the cord connecting the car to the computer. CAN THIS BE FIXED? Please advise! I need to get this up and running immediately... THANK YOU!!!!:(
