Each time I start the computer, I find that the Toolbar in My Computer or Windows Explorer that I checked on the previous visit has disappeared and I have to reset it. Is there any way I can fix the Toolbar so it stays? I'm using Windows 95.

I was hoping this might be a straightforward one, but perhaps it isn't.

    Hiya

This is usually for IE toolbars, but should work for Windows Explorer as well.

Close all open Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows.

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT

    Navigate to

    HKEY CURRENT USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
    Explorer\Toolbar\Explorer

Locate the entry in the right pane called ITBarLayout
Right click on ITBarLayout and select Delete.

    Close registry

    Regards

    Thanks for that Eddie,
Since my last posting a while back now, this problem seems to have corrected itself, ie toolbars stay fixed. Don't ask me how or why, because I haven't done anything that I'm aware of to fix them. However, if they do start disappearing again, I'll certainly do what you suggest. Many thanks.
