When i say smoke effect i mean in the backgroung of the form some sort of smoke should be shown. for example i have seen a program where the person made a bubble effect on the for using the circle function, what i want is behind all my controls, in the background of the form either a smoke or fire effect, it has to move like smoke. i cant really explain it very well but i hope you understand. thank you

I think I have understood. You can either have an animated GIF (animated GIF requires separate ActiveX control) or do some coding yourself with timer control and bunch of pictures.

But in both the cases, I think you will end up compromising on some optimisation. At least some part of machine resources will be used by this special effect which in turn may slow down the other parocesses.
