Hello I'm kind of new to internet forums in general and I honestly don't know where else to turn. I'd talked on the phone and online with Verizon support, and even had someone come out. They have been unable to help me.
I have the Verizon Fios 25 down / 25 upload package. I get around 30 down / 2 up in actuality. When I had the tech guy over he reset my router to default, and even replaced my ONT. When he tried it out I got around 30/15, which honestly was good enough for me and let him go. Not ten minutes later the speeds went back to 30/2(or even worse). I'm at a loss for what to do. This happens on multiple computers as well, not just one.

If you need any other info please let me know I have no idea what else I can do!

No torrents (which could be eating the upload bandwidth)?

No spyware uploading all your secrets?

No torrents. I use malwarebytes for spyware detection.

TCP Optimizer is supposedly not needed in Windows 7, but it has fixed a few problems. Have no idea if it works with Windows 8, but it probably does. I've used it successfully in XP, and am sure it works in Vista.

I've run the Verizon Fios optimizer and the TCP optimizer and they both have no effect.

I forgot it was with multiple computers. :( You've tested without the router, right?

The verizon router is also the modem. It's called the actiontec or something like that.

OK, just one more question--this happens with both ethernet and Wi-Fi, or just with ethernet?

    Both. Same speeds for both.

I suspect the router. You might try another reset to factory defaults to see if that works again for a short, or longer, time.

Ok I semi-fixed the problem. Semi meaning I can't actually utilize my upload like I want to. My speed tests results are drasitcally different.

I'm glad I got 1 for 3. But I am trying to stream out via Twitch and it disconnects me all the time so there is still definitely a problem and I'm not sure what it is.

That could be to do with how you have set up your streaming software.
