    Windows 95
    Impulse Powerlite 6000 Laptop
    Pentium 133
    32MB RAM

On cold boot or a restart, Windows seems to progress normally until the Win Logo disappears and the wallpaper appears. Then it's a two minute wait looking at the wallpaper and the mouse cursor. (which can be moved normally)

I've ran Registry First Aid to delete registry errors, but no increase in startup speed.

Below is the results of Hijack This:

    Solved...

Seems a Windows OS upgrade had not completed successfully and left a registry entry that had to be removed.

Thanks anyways people. I'll be back.

    Johnnieq:

You're running a pretty slow processor(133 MHz) and very little RAM(32 MB). I'd highly suggest that you do the following:

    1. Turn off the wallpaper and use a plain background.

    2. If the color palette is set to 24-bit or 32-bit color, set it to 16-bit color.

    3. Add another 32 MB of RAM.

    Thanks!

It's not my machine, but I will suggest a memory upgrade to my friend.
