I need help with my computer. I have a Gateway w/Intel Pent. 4 (not sure what speed), and 256mb ram, running Win ME. When I first bought computer (used), I had at least one serious virus that I assume I have removed using AVG/Ad-Aware/Spybot/HJT. I also ran ZoneAlarm until recently. I now have broadband internet, which i installed a NIC,and it seemed to run well. as soon as I tried to install my Lexmark 2300 all-in-one (via USB), I started getting many errors, and mycomputer doesn't run very well anymore. I can't get ZoneAlarm re-installed, and my internet is intermittent. any thoughts? My latest HJT log:

I see at least 4 startup entries that don't need to be running in the background:

    LoadPowerProfile (Both entries)

    SchedulingAgent

    TaskMonitor

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Go into Add/Remove Programs and uninstall PeoplePC and AOL, then delete their leftover folders from inside the C:\Program Files folder.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    This log entry:

    F1 - win.ini: run=lxcgppls.exe

is a problem and needs to be addressed.
