Vfw driver

Hello i am new to all this.this is my first computer.i am trying to install a web cam
d-link dsb-c110 after all is installed i try to use it and i get a window that comes up that says can not find vfw driver. When i go onto the internet to find a vfw driver there are so many,what do i do ?

Welcome to TSG, mtlw. Googling your eMachine, it shows that the computer has Windows 7 on it. Sorry to say, but according to Microsoft's Compatibility Website, that model webcam is not compatible and will not work with Windows 7.

On D-Link's website, it says that they discontinued that model camera back in 2006, there are no vista drivers, let alone windows 7 drivers. I would have to suggest purchasing a new camera.

I've removed the link as the download actually contains DriverDetective garbage rather than a real driver.
