hi guys,

i bought one of these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pinnacle-Sy...0356?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1271023345&sr=8-1

to try capture from my vhs to dvd

i installed it but it keeps saying no video input signal found

i dont really have an idea how this thing works,or the principals,my neighbours have two different types and nobody can get any working, help me be the hero.

anyway it is a silver device, one side usb...the other has s-video and three jacks white, red and yellow.

my vhs machine (sharp vc-mh814) has in the front:

(line in 3) written
with a red, white and yellow jack...i tried the cable in this but it didnt work

at the back:

i have audio out ,its a red and white jack

then there are 2 scart jacks, the top one says line 2 decoder
and the bottom one says line 1 in/out video

then there is an antenna jack...looks like the coax connection
and RF out, below that, also looks like a coax connection.

i have 2 cables red, white and yellow jacks to red, white and yellow jacks
i also have a scart adapter with red, white and yellow jacks

i have tried all ports,with all cables,nothing works,what am i missing.
if you need jpg's let me know

pk

how does this work? will the video send out straight to the laptop...or does the laptop catch off the tv?

any input appreciated...

That model does not have composite video out, only RF via the coax connection.

The front connections are for video In for a game console.

You need a VCR player with composite OUT.
