I have a presario r3000 amd.....it has a nivida geforce 420 go 32m, runing windows xp. Some of the newer games and programs require a gaphics card that runs pixels and shaders. Even tho my system is new and up to date, I don't believe it does this. Is there a way to upgrade my graphics card or would I have to get a new graphics card altogether?

The only thing you can do is make sure you have the latest drivers installed...since you have a laptop, you can't replace the video card, as it's soldered into the motherboard...
