Video card question

    I think i know the answer to this question but i would like some input to be sure.Can the digital output on a video card go bad while leaving the vga output working properly?Thank's for any input.

    It sounds plausible. If the dvi output port is damaged it may not work while the vga output could still work if not damaged.

    The reason i was asking was because i have one that was working fine when it suddenly started going out after a few minutes when using the digital output but works fine on the vga output so i assumed it is the video card and not something else causing the problem.
