I have a small Samsung digital camera that can take video too. My wife made a video (about a minute's worth) but since she held the camera vertically, the video file is in portrait view, as in the 'bottom' is actually on thr 'right'. Is there anything that I can use to flip it back?

Yes, most NLE's including Windows Moviemaker will allow you to flip the video to its proper orientation. Just throw the clip on the timeline, then go to Video Effects and chose one of the rotate fx.

Yeah, pull the video into the timeline---then go to the Tools, Video Effects selection--scroll down and chose the one you want.
