    Hi folks,

New here searching for help and not sure where this should go. So, seemed most appropriate.

Brand new Lenovo T60 laptop. Important spec is ATI Mobility 1400 vid card.

I have tried two external montiors and both VGA and DVI outputs and both fail the same way.

After about a half hour of use, first the icons in my system tray start to disappear. You can hover, and they might come back. This then moves to include the quick launch tray. Next, a few desktop icons disappear. Then some menu items are blank. Finally, the screen goes grey with a little bit of all elements scattered around. Reboot, fine again.

This does not happen on the laptops LCD undocked.

Tried every video setting I can think of. With 512 MB Vid RAM, this should not happen. Played with paging file settings, write combined, changed acceleration - on and on.

I'm at a los and very frustrated, as you might imagine. Pretty knowledgable and willing to try most proposed solutions.

    Any ideas?

PS. This is my home machine so no acces to it during work hours. Will reply every evening, if not sooner.
