I made a lot of videos which contains sections of undesirable scenes and I would like to cut them
    out of the videos.

There is no need to improve the videos as I am satisfied with the results.

Can anybody suggest what program I should use to achieve my goal ?

    Thanks

AviDemux can edit without re-encoding and it's free.

My Window Movie Maker in XP is not compatible with the videos from my New Sony Camcorder.
It will depend on the video format ??
Prunejuice's suggestion might be the way to go .. Some suggested freeware Video Editors .. That includes AviDemux
