didnt see this already posted anywhere, so here we go.
i have a fairly new laptop. an HP pavillion dv9000z or t (whichever has the athlon chip in it). anyway, when i watch a video in windows media player or while using my divx player, the video is really dark like the contrast is turned way way up. i havent knowlingly done anything to alter the contrast ratio. regardless the source of video -- dvd, web feed from MLB.com or even stuff i took on my webcam, its all dark.
heres the off thing. when i watch the same clips in nero showtime or in quicktime, everything is the proper lighting.
any help on how to resolve the darkness issues?
the windows media player is version 9 if that helps.
