I'm not sure when this problem came about, but I think it was when I dled a new codec.
Anyway, I dled this new codec, and now, whenever I try to run movies, the screen for the media player stays blank, but it claims it's play. however, there's no audio, and the little bar that I can use to fastfoward, etc. doesn't move...
I uninstalled ALL my media players and codecs, reinstalled only the important ones, and still nothing

You can go here for a codec pack that should let you play all video files:

If That doesn't work,(assuming it's WMP) try reinstalling the player.Quite a few people I know have had this problem lately.Open My Computer/program files/Windows Media Player and look for either a folder named Installer or an icon that looks like an open box with a page behind it named mpsetupxp. That is the Windows Media Player Installer,it will bring the player back to the way it was when you first installed it.
