    Hi,

I'm having the same problem thomaskappen reported on 26 july 2010 (http://forums.techguy.org/multimedia/938416-video-playback-not-smooth-flaky.html), 'flaky' reproduction of video played from hard drive. Sound and picture resolution fine. My videos are all back ups of my DVD's back home so no quality issues.
the codecs seem to be the latest according to windows.
the battery is on high and the virtual memory pumped up but to no avail. the same problem persists no matter the media player.
unfortunately I'm here in Spain on a Spanish windows 7 which makes searching hard.
I noted the advice to thomas' post but I'm unsure how to change from or to 16/32 wid display configuration. moreover, I don't know what that means.
I've resolved this problem before but a long time ago in XP and I no longer remember the solution.
I'd appreciate any help as my laptop is also my TV whilst working abroad. thanks in advance.
