Recently, when I play videos, randomly they will just totally freeze up, make a sort of sound and it will not unfreeze unless I restart my computer. I dont mean the usual thing where videos will just keep buffering... what I mean is the whole screen freezes the picture and sound. I have to click the button to cold/hard turn the computer off. THEN when I do I am lucky of it restarts. Many times all I get is a black screen that says "verifying DMI pool data" and I end up having to restart it again. Sometimes I have to wait an hour then restart and finally it starts up again.

Any ideas whats causing this to happen?

If it's not rebooting properly, there is likely a hardware fault (or something failing). The fact that you have to wait "x" amount of time, would typically indicate something is overheating. When is the last time the PC was cleaned? You may simply need to open the case and blow out all of the dust and dirt.

I bought the computer about 4 months ago BUT we moved to a really dusty place, when we first moved in. There was no flooring and we had to put it in ourselves.

Is there a place online that would show me HOW to clean out my computer? Dont you have to know the right way to clean it, so it doesnt get worse by blowing stuff INTO the computer parts?

Or do I have to take it to a computer shop to get it cleaned?
