View packets?

    Hi, is there any way to see what websites my computer is accessing without my knowledge? Like what websites programs in the background are using? TY

    Take a look at WireShark, it's an excellent protocol monitor.

    I installed it, but no packets are coming up, even when I purposely induce internet activity. Am I doing something wrong?

    I suspect so. :) Did you actually start the monitoring using the Capture menu for your Ethernet card? That's all it takes for it to capture for me.
