When I choose Thumbnails view in Windows Explorer I get a set of thumbnails as expected.

But when I click on a thumbnail the image opens in Internet Explorer. I'm sure it used to open in an image viewer that let me run a sort of slideshow.

How can I get things back the way they were? Hope you can help.

    Hello Soliel

    Welcome to tsg.
Yep, there are a couple of kiwi's kicking around in here. :)

Guessing a bit, but it sounds like you have been opening them in windows XP's picture and fax viewer.
To set Windows picture and fax viewer as your default viewer right click one of your image icons>click open with>choose program>put a tick in the box that says "Always use the selectected program to open this kind of file" Then select "windows picture and fax viewer" and click OK
