About four months ago I bought a supposedly rebuilt Viewsonic P815. About one month after I hooked it up it started to not degause. The screen is pink.

Every once in a while it will correct itself and be fine for a day or two, then it goes pink again. I've replaced cords and plugs.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    Welcome to TSG!
Having to Degauss a monitor should be by rare exception and not the rule. I also have a Viewsonic monitor that is 2 1/2 years old and never had to degauss the monitor. Unless you have a powerful magnetic field nearby (Possibly your personality?;) ) I suspect the monitor is faulty vs anything else in your system.

    hey camanomom,

I happen to have a Viewsonic GS790 19" that is two years old. Before trashing your monitor, list price $1295 per ZDnet, try it on another computer. It might be your vid card.
