Hello again! I'll get right to the point:

I need a free virtual machine that has the ability to boot from a USB drive (I have Ubuntu Linux 10.04 installed on it as bootable). If there isn't is there some way I can "trick":eek: the computer or the Virtual Machine to think my USB drive is a hard disk?

Thank you so much in advance!

A virtual machine needs an OS to run. It can't run by itself or be booted. Yes, there are virtual machines that run from USB and host other operating systems. But they must be run inside an already booted OS.

But what, exactly, are you trying to accomplish?

I am running Windows 7; I know it has to be booted already. I am trying to run Ubuntu off of my flash drive, like how Virtual box can run Ubuntu off of a cd.

It sounds like you just need a Linux Live distribution which will boot to Linux from a CD or USB drive.
