I get the following message, “Virtual memory too low. Your system is low on virtual memory. Window is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file. During this procedure memory requests for some applications may be denied.”

What can I do to avoid apps from being denied?

    Total Virtual Memory: 2.00GB
    Avail Virtual Memory: 1.96GB

    Total Physical Memory: 1,020MB
    Avail Physical Memory: 549.23MB

    Thanks!

    Hi LUIS39

To try and fix this, click on the Start button
Right click on My computer and select Properties
    Click on the Advanced tab
then on Settings in the Performance section

Select the Advanced tab to see how much disk space is used for virtual memory.

To increase it, click on Change button.

Ideally, the settings should be left on System Managed size but if this does not stop the error message from appearing, click on Custome Size option and enter a figure of 1524 for Initial size and 3048 for Maximum size.

Never enter a lager figure than you have free space on your hard disk.

Click OK three times to save the settings and then RESTART your computer to apply the changes.

    Hope this helps?

What programs do you have that usually have this problem?

and are they on the main C drive same as the Operating System?

    Thanks for your help.

It worked for a while but…now I get:

“You have no memory. Close the program (PaperPort)”

    Total Virtual Memory: 2.00GB
    Avail Virtual Memory: 1.96GB

    Total Physical Memory: 1,020MB
Avail Physical Memory: Increase to 594.67MB from 549.23MB
    Page File Space: 1.51GB

    Thanks again!

Leave virtual memory set on "System managed size".

Submit a HijackThis log here so we can see what's installed and running in the background.
