    Hi Folks,
I'm going to build my next PC and I know there is the ability to run a virtual XP mode with Win 7 or it may run separately I'm not sure. My question, is XP virtual mode a bios thing that resides with the MB or is it the CPU and there I will use Intel i7 920 or 930?

    Any info is appreciated.

    Thanks, Richie

XP Mode will only run on W7 Pro or Ultimate.

It runs inside W7, as a virtual Operating System.

They removed the processor requirements for XP Mode a few weeks back, it will run on most any modern processor now.
