Hello, TSG! You guys have been awesome in the past, and I'm hoping you can help me once again.

While doing my weekly (okay... not QUITE weekly...) Spybot - Search & Destroy check, it located something called Virtumonde which was listed as a Trojan. I chose fix selected problem, and then ran the check again, just to be sure. Unfortuntely, Spybot found it again, so it's probably more insidious than Spybot can deal with.

Spybot, Symantec Endpoint Protection, and Windows are all updated, I do that roughly once a week. I also have Secunia installed and I'm at 100%. Help please? Here's my HJT log:

I just wanted to update because when I booted up today, a few empty command windows opened up. And then a couple spybot windows came up warning me that something was trying to change things. I denyed the changes.

Nothing else is happening and the computer is reacting like usual but I'm still concerned.

More of those command windows today, and the computer seems to be running slower, especially the internet, but it's hard to tell. My dear lappy is about 5 years old, so it has slow days sometimes anyway. Whenever someone gets around to helping me, it's been a couple of days, do I need a new HJT log?

Okay, so today the command line had something written in it, but it was gone so quickly I couldn't read it. Does this mean things are getting worse? I'm still not really noticing a change in behavior besides being slower, but I'm still afraid to do much...

Also, I thought it might help to post a shot of the spybot s&d things that come up. I'm certain they are related.

Bump. Still need help. I've been doing some research and I found a program called MalwareRemovalBot that was reccommended, but I really don't want to do anything by myself. I can't afford to mess this up, I need my lappy too much for school.

Well, I updated to Ad-Aware anniversary edition and it found a few things, which I took care of like it recommended. This is what it found:

    Skipped items:
Description: C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache\WBDBV32I.DLL Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0
Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\CmdLineExt03.dll Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0
Description: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DivX.dll Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0
Description: C:\WINDOWS\WBDBV32I.DLL Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0

    Quarantined items:
Description: C:\System Volume Information\_restore{E79AE979-DA07-45B0-A865-BFCAD8292C86}\RP447\A0137073.exe Family Name: DR/FakeAlert.QV Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0
Description: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Recovery\Virtumonde.zip Family Name: Suspicious Object Clean status: Success Item ID: 0 Family ID: 0

However, my computer still reacted the same way, with the command windows opening up and spybot detecting those registry changes. Only now, when I deny the changes, ad-aware complains and I enter an endless loop until I deny changes via spybot and allow changes via ad-aware. It's not doing anything else that I can see, but that doesn't make me feel better about it. Also, I figured since I updated a bunch of things, a new HJT was in order so:

And I'm sorry if I'm breaking any rules by replying to my own post so much, but as no one has stopped in yet, I figure there's nothing else I can do.

Adaware is finding new things pretty much every day, win32, virtumonde and others, which are all names for the same thing I think. Found VundoFix and it did nothing. Can someone PLEASE help me? It's been almost a month.

these all look like false alarms to me and illustrates the dangers of having competing antispyware products

to start with uninstall both adaware & spybot

reboot & post a fresh HJT log

now lets try an online scan & see what is properly detected

All reports suggest that teh adaware detections were falsew and due to teh heuistics in teh new version of adaware

    * Run Kaspersky online virus scan Kaspersky Online Scanner.

After the updates have downloaded, click on the "Scan Settings" button.
select the (b)"Spyware, Adware, Dialers and other potentially dangerous programs" for the scan.
Under "Please select a target to scan", click "My Computer".
When the scan is finished, Save the results from the scan!

Note: Kavscan is a scanner only & won't fix anything but will normally find the most infected files so it's report gives us a good place to work from

    If that won't run then
Run an online antivirus check from one of the following sites
    http://security.symantec.com/default.asp?
    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
    http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/
    http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html

Well, the scan was clean. So either the last time I ran Adaware it found the last problem, or as you suggested the problem was adaware itself. Should I not reinstall adaware then?

adaware aniversary edition uses heuristics and they frequently give false detections

either use adaware or spybot BUT not both together
