thats spyware

(do you use AOL to connect to the internet?)
or are you on a router

you have a lot of adware and spyware running

hijackthis will have a lot of trouble removing them

some spyware programs can run in the background while in safe mode also.

first thing you should do is , download and install adaware) after installing adaware, update it, and don't scan because it will not be able to remove them while there running, and it's startup scan doesnt work either
download adaware from here http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

theres 3 things that i will like you to do
1, download and install AVG antivirus (it's free) uubeokkj.exe after installing it, i would like for you to update it.

2, Go to start, click on Run,> type in msconfig and press enter.

then a window will come up, on that window, i will like you to uncheck "load startup items"
(startup items are those icons that appear next to the clock on the taskbar. there programs that windows opens for you so you don't have to double click on their icon to open them)

so uncheck "load startup items" , this will stop any spyware adware and many viruses from running (this makes them a lot easier to remove)

after unchecking "load startup items", apply then restart.

then after restarting, run the avg anti virus scan.

do a full scan,

then run a adaware scan

this should fix your problem.

(you may need to reinstall AOL software after this)

aol contains adware which many virus scans and spyware removers will pick up and remove

You don't just have "smitfraud", you have a ton of other viruses in there. This belongs in a software forum.

Please do not follow this advice as it will only hide the things we need to remove. Most of what you have there is not going to be removed by the antivirus or the Adaware scan anyway. I'll post directions for you in a bit.

** Before you proceed with the removal directions below you need to turn off SpySweeper's realtime protection as it will interfere with the changes we are trying to make.

Open Spysweeper and click on Options > Program Options and uncheck "load at windows startup".
On the left click "shields" and then uncheck everything there.
Uncheck "home page shield".
Uncheck "automatically restore default without notification".
Exit the program.

** Now you need to download the following tools and have them ready to run. Do not run any of them until instructed to do so:

* Click here to download smitRem.zip.
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Unzip smitRem.zip to extract the files it contains.
  • Do not do anything with it yet. You will run the RunThis.bat file later in safe mode.

* Click here to download Nailfix.zip.
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Unzip Nailfix.zip to extract the files it contains.
  • Do not do anything with it yet. You will run the Nailfix.cmd file later in safe mode.

* Go here to download CCleaner.
  • Install CCleaner
  • Launch CCleaner and look in the upper right corner and click on the "Options" button.
  • Click "Advanced" and remove the check by "Only delete files in Windows temp folders older than 48 hours".
  • Click OK
  • Do not run CCleaner yet. You will run it later in safe mode.

* Download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here.
  • Install ewido.
  • During the installation, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
  • Launch ewido

* Now copy these instructions to notepad and save them to your desktop. You will need them to refer to in safe mode.

* Restart your computer into safe mode now. Perform the following steps in safe mode:

* Open the smitRem folder, then double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen.
Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.

* Doubleclick on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

* Run Ewido:
  • Click on scanner
  • Click Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
  • During the scan it will prompt you to clean files, click OK
  • When the scan is finished, look at the bottom of the screen and click the Save report button.
  • Save the report to your desktop

* Start Ccleaner and click Run Cleaner

* Go to Control Panel > Internet Options. Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Click Apply then OK.

* Next go to Control Panel > Display. Click on the "Desktop" tab then click the "Customize Desktop" button. Click on the "Web" tab. Under "Web Pages" you should see an entry checked called something like "Security info" or similar. If it is there, select that entry and click the "Delete" button. Click OK then Apply and OK.

* Restart back into Windows normally now.

* Download the Hoster from here . UnZip the file and press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit the Hoster.

* Run ActiveScan online virus scan here

When the scan is finished, anything that it cannot clean have it delete it.
- Save the results from the scan!
