virus help!

    recently i was minding my own business on morpheus and all da sudden after opening a newly downloaded file (stupidly i didnt run i virus scan) a message came up saying: windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\what ever the file was( i 4got what the damn thing was)

    now certain progrmas whenever i try to open them will say the same thing and wont let me in!

    plz help

    i have deleted morpheus and the file to make sure thats away

    any ideas:confused:

    When you try opening a program what file does it say is missing? Is the file that's missing called sirc32.exe? If so you have the sircam virus. If you have that virus then download and run the removal tool here. It'll fix the program opening problem as well.

    If you don't have the sircam virus then...

    1. Download and run exefix08.com from the link. That'll fix your program opening problem. http://home.earthlink.net/~rmbox/Reticulated/Only_IE.html

    2. run a virus scan and let us know what virus it is. You can do it here: http://housecall.antivirus.com/

    Did you find out what virus you have? We need to know. Exefix08.com does not remove viruses so you're still infected if that's all you used.
