Virus In The System

    Hey guys I had the problem again with my system shutting down, the following error message appears when I am using the Internet which restarts my computer, THIS SYSTEM IS NOW SHUTTING DOWN PLEASE SAVE ANY UNSAVED INFORMATION THIS WAS INTIATITED BY NT AUTHORITY SYSTEM WINDOWS MUST NOW RESTART BECAUSE THE REMOTE PROCEDURE PROTOCOL OR RPC SERVICE TERMINATED UNEXPECTDLY PLEASE HELP ME THIS IS GETTING ANNOYING WHAT STEPS DO I TAKE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, IT KICKS ME OUT AND RESTARTS MY COMPUTER EVERY FIVE MINUTES, PLEASE EMAIL ME AT [email protected]

    Sounds like the MSblast worm.

    Go to http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/ and download HiJackThis. Use Winzip to ]u]unzip[/u] it, then install and run it. To run, click the “Scan” button. When it's done the "Scan" button changes to "Save Log". Save the log file it creates (it should open in Notepad at that point). Copy and paste the results in your next post. IF you happen to be using a proxy server, please mention it in your post. Most of what it finds is harmless, so do not do anything yet. Someone will be glad to help you sort out any of the baddies that may be in there.
