I have a serious virus on my computer and it is effecting everything I do. Anything from very slow speed to pop ups from simply clicking my mouse on a page. I get extra tabs popping up, ads galore, I can't navigate through a single site without coming across a serious ad or extra tab opening up, disabling me from using the internet effectively in any way. What can I do to get rid of this all together? I have gone to two different people in IT for help, neither were virus and malware removal specialists. Their help seemed to have cleaned my computer, but the virus came back within a week both times. First IT guy made me delete unneeded files and other guy used a virus scan disk to remove files and clean up the computer.....obviously neither worked. Is this as simple as cleaning my hard disk or is there more to it?

Thanks,
Ian

Hi Ian,

FRST - Farbar Recovery Scanner Tool
Please download FRST64.exe ... by Farbar. Save it to your desktop.

  1. Right click on FRST64.exe select "Run As Administrator" to run it. If prompted by UAC, please allow it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  2. Press Scan button. ... A log will be created FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run.
  3. Please copy/paste FRST.txt it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log... Addition.txt.
  4. Please copy/paste Addition.txt in your reply.
