Hey.. I am new here.. and have done a little reading up. I have been using etrust antivirus with multiple attempts to remove viruses such as Vundu and Chisyne!generic. Of course I am prompted to reboot, and when I do, the viruses come right back. I use Mozilla Firefox and am now getting pop up galore.

I have downloaded the new Java per the sticky thread.. haven't went to download old versions yet, and ran a Hijack this.. here is my report. If anyone could please help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh, additionally, I do have adaware and spybot search and destroy on the computer, but they too will find viruses yet not be able to delete them even when I reboot.

Thank you so much for having a site like this!
    -Jen :)

    1. Download this file :

    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/combofix.exe
    http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/combofix.exe

    2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
    3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJack log in your next reply

    Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

I downloaded combofix, shutting down applications beforehand i let it run a system scan.. it basically got to the point where it identified 'look2me' and said it was fixing.. then froze.. no action for 10 minutes. during that time a handy mozilla firefox browser window popped up with an evil ad but that was the only interupption, i did not click the combofix window at all, just got to enter 'y' the one time. nonetheless i am gonna now do the spysweeper and get back to you on that.. let me know if there's anything i could do to make the combofix work!

thank you so much you guys!

So, I downloaded spysweeper and rebooted. Now, I can't seem to complete the boot process to windows.. its like i have too many things going- avg, ez trust, the new spy sweeper, plus aol and yahoo popping up. i try to stop them as they appear but this is causing me to freeze every single time unless i log in as a guest. is there anything i can do from guest to decrease what is loading when i load windows? i tried to do safe mode but it gave me a black screen after i chose to log in as 'administrator'. ez antivirus continues to pop up at me non stop with chisyne!geneirc and vundo (plus toooga or something like that from time to time) urging me to restart. what do i do? :(
