Hi guys, so basically I was casually surfing the net yesterday then suddenly I get an 'antivirus software alert' (not an actual window) appear in the bottom left corner. Assuming it's a pop up I casually close it but then a 'security warning' pops up saying; 'Application cannot be executed. The file ((keeps changing the file name)) is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software?' Also a program labled as 'Antivirus Scan' keeps appearing along the toolbar in the bottom left. The main problem I have is that it doesn't allow me to access any web pages; it says 'Internet explorer warning - visiting this site may harm your computer' and waffles on about recommending I purchase secure internet surfing. It also keeps opening random 'websites' in internet explorer such as viagra.com, adult.com, etc. :/

I decided to run a comprehensive scan using norton 360 and after hours of scanning it found 1 virus but it doesn't seem to be the one that is causing the problems as the antivirus software alerts are still persistantly popping up. I'm currently using my mums laptop to look for a way around the problem. Sorry for the wall of text but any help would be appreciated, thanks.\
