My Norton keeps telling me I have a virus called "Backdoor.SDBot.General" but it won't tell me how to get rid of it. I went to Google and downloaded a Spy Ware remover but no luck getting rid of it. Any Ideas??? Thanks a bunch.

it won't tell you how to get rid of it? that's wierd. as far as i know, you just have to click ont he name of the virus (from the dialog box of norton telling you that it found it) and it will open up your browser with the instructions and details of the file and how to remove it.

and if not. i think its only obvious to do a virus can of your whole pc to remove it that way.

The virus is located at- C:\windows\system32\svhost

When I run a Sys scan Norton tells me it's there but offers no way to get rid of it and the warning keeps coming up on my desktop and sometime I can't get rid of it (the warning)???
Thanks for such quick replies fellas. Terry
