OS ME on a home computer that kids use to browse.
Have taught (warned) them about downloading but this happened recently.
Detected Webhancer and used lava software to remove.
However I cannot get rid of Ezula.
    Have run ad-aware 2 times.

Also comp now emits sounds (rattle, thunderstorm, monster noises) whenever opening or closing a window or rebooting, etc
This is highly anoying plus I am sure an indicator of unwanted software-virus on comp.
Updated McAfee just days ago after this started to appear.

    Any suggs?

I have downloaded the zip from
    http://spyBware.bravepages.com -

page 2 on the right hand side

    version5.6

and yet still have the old Sig File of

087-22.09.2001 on the bottom left of the window

pane. Did I pick the wrong download?

I did turn off desktop themes - thanks for the
    help.

Also, attached is the log file.

My apologies in advance for being such a dunderhead

When you wrote to go back where you got 5.6 and unzip the file there I was assuming that what you meant was to place the zip file in the same location as the executable which I have done.

    C:/program files/lavasoft Ad aware

I unzipped the file to this location and then rebooted. Still the same Sig File # 087etc.

Did what you mean was to return to the lavasoft website and redownload the program?

Should I delete to program entirely and redo the whole process all over again? It seems a waste of bandwidth.

One issue might be that I am using the Microsoft compression utility rather that Winzip. Could this be an problem?

Your patience and response is greatly appreciated.

you can also use the refupdate utility
    - it connects to the lavasoft site, checks for most current ref file, then downloads and installs it for you
