Hi,

This monitor flashes the picture up for a fraction of a second and then goes so dark you cant use it. You can just about see something but cant read it or use it. Any ideas what to change/ do about this?

Thanks,

Hi,

Yes I've tried it on a PC and a laptop. It's about 18 months old. It hasnt been used for a few months but was working fine when it was put away.

The screen is so dark you can just about make out that things have changed. Pressing the menu button you do see something pop up (or at least a dark outline of it) but not matter what you change you cant influence what is on the screen. It's very frustrating.

This sounds like a backlight / interver problem, It could be they have failed or it could be just a loose connection.

Does it still have any warranty on it? If so, I would get it checked under that.

If not, it might be worth checking to see if there are any loose connections on or around the inverter board. These are usually fairly easy to get to by taking the back of the screen. A couple of somewhat generic guides here to give you an idea:
