Scans 35mm size slides just fine, but I would like to scan 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 inch slides. The mask cuts off part of the picture. I tried making a mask with black construction paper and it did not work. I doubled the thickness and got the same error message " Transparency Adaptor (TA) error. Verify the White lid insert is removed, the TA is plugged in and the black insert (mask) is placed on the scanner bed. Visioneer's web tech help is not working. I hate to pay their 900 number prices for tech help. Please help.........

Ask Sara is a database nothing more it matches components of your questions with stored data; I ask; I would like to scan 2 1/8 x 2 1/8 inch slides. And it gave me 37 matches that had nothing to do with the original query. I guess that your particular situation is not in the database or the scanners Built-in 35mm Transparency Adapter is only meant to be used with 35mm slides and negatives.
