However when I use internet explorer, and non-internet programs , things are fine.
Before that I deleted a bunch of Temp files and Perhaps one too many, because when I looked in my temp folder again , I deleted more than just the TMP files. It was almost all of them.
I've updated all the drivers, and even updated Java, however, since downloading and updating Java I haven't tried the Internet. I just watched YouTube on my PS3 last night until I fell asleep. I don't know nor do I expect that it is fixed.
If I don't try to use the browser, the the computer will stay on all night untill it goes to sleep.
I can't use system restore, nor can I use system recovery. So it appears that I have to fix things myself.
I feel like I can get it done faster if I can talk to somebody who knows these things.
Not only is it posted in the Vista forum but the operating system is clearly stated in the title. Please be careful to read everything before asking questions to avoid confusion and unnecessary delays.
I've deleted your email address for two reasons. First, all assistance is to be done here on the board but also, posting it in public will allow spammers to harvest it.'
There should be no problem deleting everything in the Temp folder.
What browser do you normally use that you are having problems with?
System restore won't restore deleted files but are you saying the system is not creating restore points or you tried to restore and it didn't work? You will need to try it again to see if it now works.
OK hi guys, thanks for noticing my forum thread.
Thats fine, I was still notified about your reply via email, so job served.
I've deleted some files probably pertaining to some important script in the temp folder, and now I dont believe it has as much to do with JAVA as much as it has to do with flash player.
I have been using browsers that which do not use flashplayer, Such as Tor, and stock internet explorer.
I normally Use Firefox, where in which flash player is updated, and pretty much activates as soon as the browser comes up. I think
Paltalk uses flash player to show adbvertisments and for mediapal, as it plays soundcloud and youtube.
so I'm thinking it has to be flashplayer.
That notification email is generated by information entered in your profile when registering and not be posting it in a public message. The two are completely separate.
Anyway, so to try to understand the problem better, do you get a BSOD every time you simply open Firefox to your home page? Or is it when accessing Paltalk with Firefox?
What version of the Flash plugin for Firefox are you running?
When did the last BSOD occur? If it was recent you should be able to find a report on it in this location:
C:\Windows\Minidump
Open the Minidump folder and see if there is a file that corresponds with the date of the last BSOD and if so please upload it as an attachment.
