Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good ( lightweight ) program that created the Vista "window fade in/out" effect without using up all my memory. I know WindowFX from Stardock does that, but in order to run in decently you need a high-end graphics card ( which I don't have ). Any suggestions?

Does that include the fade effect? I'd prefer just a program that runs in the background...

It should. I would say that is your safest bet as it atcually changes the UI files for windows xp with ones from windows vista. That way you have the vista appearance but it is still a windows xp operating system.

It is stable as before i atcually had vista on the laptop for a short time i had xpmce running on that utility with no problems. Works quite stably in my opinion. Just be sure to follow all of the instructions in the installer to a T and you should have no trouble.
