For the last two weeks my computer has been freezing on me no matter what I am doing. Sometimes it happens only once per day, other days its every few minutes. I have updated drivers, Vista, and even updates for HP to no avail. When I searched for problems and solutions it said iaStor.sys was not working properly. Intel site no help. Yesterday problem & solution center said RAID driver was MISSING so I downloaded a new one (Desktop/workstation/server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller 10.1.0.1008) which the site recommended. This did not help either. iaStor error still showing up. Can someone please tell me how to fix these problems. Are they related? Is there a new iaStor.sys driver I can install for my system and if so, which one?
Also, I usually don't shut down my computer, but leave it running (idle?) most of the time. Could this also be a factor?

HP Pavilion Media Center m8120n TV PC
Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 Intel VIIV
    Windows Vista
    3072MB system memory
    640GB hard drive

Please let me know if you need more system information. Thank you in advance for any help!

Please post the full error concerning IASTOR.SYS as that affects how the error should be dealt with.

Thank you for responding! All Problem and Reports Center says is-
iaStor has stopped working properly, Click link to go online to Intel Corp website to learn about solution (which I can never find!). Related problem: Windows shut down unexpectedly.

The rest of these are error messages from my Event Viewer--

I am providing several events here that may or may not be related (I don't know). They are listed as errors on my event viewer.

OK here are all of the events from the time my computer first began freezing. Perhaps these will help shed some light on this issue.

Audit events have been dropped by the transport. The real time backup file was corrupt due to improper shutdown
