I have just bought an ACER 5051 from ebuyer with 1Gb of RAM and ATI Xpress 1100 Graphics onboard... the settings are at the recommended max settings of 1280x800 and 32-Bit but the color looks as if its in 16-bit mode (less colors)

Some shading of colors are slightly apparent (look blocky) its because it appears to be displaying in less colors so the transition through shading isnt very good...

does anyone know how to fix this? perhaps manually installing the drivers from ATI will repair this.... ALso is ATI Xpress 1100 suffice for AERO?

    many thanks

ATI 1100 as I remember is a native DX9.0c, which runs the DX9 L easily.

I would start with the ATI drivers, making sure to uninstall the old ones first of course.
